Too many fields?[edit]

I have added a separate field for general and team manager (didn't realise how many were different!), but I think listing all the Directeur Sportif's is a bit too much. Any thoughts? Mk3severo 23:27, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the list of Directuer sportifs and technical director fields, just leaving the general and team manager as far as personnel goes. Mk3severo 09:32, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Example[edit]

I'd appreciate a worked example of the userbox - I'm trying to be create one for Red Sun Cycling Team, but can't suss out the kit pattern thing. Murkee (talk) 15:13, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Problem[edit]

The old template is messed up. As you can see in Jamis-Sutter Home, there's no correspondence between the name of the team and the years. 151.61.145.215 (talk) 15:24, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll have a look at this tomorrow to see what workaround we can find. The potential for problem has already been flagged at {{Infobox cyclist}}. SeveroTC 19:46, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed for now although I think we need to adopt a more accessible solution to this problem. SeveroTC 13:43, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Website field[edit]

The website field on this template converts plain website entries to a hyperlink displaying "Team home page". An infobox's purpose is to display information, in this type of situation, the URL. The template should be modified to not hide the URL. Ponydepression (talk) 02:55, 25 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Ponydepression: "Club home page" is used in the highly used {{Infobox football club}} (example: Arsenal F.C.), yet the URL is used in {{Infobox basketball club}} (example: New York Knicks). Not sure. BaldBoris 01:19, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with the season / oldname parameters[edit]

The guidance for the |season= and |oldname= parameters is to use <br> delimited lists for each. the problem with the is that the years are not aligned with the names, only visually aligned, which is an WP:ACCESSIBILITY problem for screen readers. the way this has been fixed in other infoboxes, like {{infobox football biography}} is split seasons / oldnames into separate fields so you would have |season1= / |oldname1=, |season2= / |oldname2=, ... then render the information in a logically aligned table. an another option would be to get rid of the |season= parameter and pass all the information through the |oldname= parameter (say using an aligned table) like I did here. if we use this option, we could have create a simplified input form using a template (say {{chronology table}} or something). comments? alternative suggestions? Website parameter[edit]

Website parameter doesn't work well with {{Official URL}}. Perhaps it should display the property P856 if website parameter is empty. --Fukumoto (talk) 06:13, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
