Remove margin[edit]

{{editprotected}} Please remove the "margin:auto auto;" code from the bodystyle parameter, as this will cause problems after May 1 when the new {{Navbox}} code goes into effect. The margin:auto code is already set in the CSS, so this will not cause any adverse effects. Thanks, --CapitalR (talk) 09:48, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Change to full width?[edit]

For any interested parties, please see discussion at Template talk:National squad concerning changing the template to 100% width. Thanks, --CapitalR (talk) 12:36, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Piping the club name[edit]

How do you pipe the club name in this tl? Currently the navbar of {{NEC Nijmegen squad}} links to NEC, which is the wrong article, but if you change the "teamname" parameter to "NEC (football club)", which is the title of the club's actual article, then it displays "NEC (football club)" in the navbar, which looks ridiculous...... ChrisTheDude (talk) 13:24, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You use the name= parameter to specify what you want to show in the navbar. See this diff Woody (talk) 13:37, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Manager example[edit]

Maybe it's just me, but I think it might be somewhat useful to include {{football squad manager|name=[[Nigel Worthington|Worthington]]}} in the example and the example template at the bottom. Ɔrassic (talk) 06:24, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Interwiki[edit]

Please add da:Skabelon:Fodboldtrup to the interwiki section of this template. Thanks. --Froztbyte (talk) 23:09, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

current squad[edit]

how about adding a parameter to allow the "current squad" display in the title bar to link to a club's current season? For example, on Template:Everton F.C. squad, clicking on "current squad" would link to Everton F.C. season 2009–10. Thoughts? JohnnyPolo24 (talk) 17:06, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Player name[edit]

Is there a correct way to name a player in the template? I'm involved in a discussion here. I would like to gain consensus before reverting related articles. My thoughts are that the title name of a players article should be correct entry, anything else should be detailed on the specific players article. Examples of the different approach can be seen here and here. I appreciate your views (and yes the squad number references are contentious too, but that's for another place). Thanks. gonads3 17:15, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please respond here. Thanks. gonads3 17:24, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I ask the same thing. Should we use the name displayed on the jersey? SLBedit (talk) 18:49, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Conversion of template to use proper lists[edit]

Template-protected edit request on 24 June 2018[edit]

please add |state={{{state|expanded}}} like sandbox per my talk page request, thanks. Hhkohh (talk) 03:27, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: They are supposed to collapse. That change would make them always expand. — JJMC89(T·C) 03:59, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot, JJMC89 not expanded is autocollapse. Hhkohh (talk) 04:55, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A common template for club and national squads[edit]

Hello! Is it possible for you to put together a combined template for national and club teams. See the Swedish template for that information. That template has links for both seasons and international tournaments like World Cup, European Championship etc. Yours sincerely, Sondre --88.91.100.244 (talk) 15:04, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How to insert a player without a number?[edit]

The template documentation does not explain how to insert a player who has not yet been assigned a number. I reverted a good-faith but syntactically invalid addition to a navbox, but I don't see the proper way to add this player, who has just moved to a new club. – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:31, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
