Opinions[edit]

If you came to this template hoping it would display as "West Germany" rather than just "Germany", sorry about that. I saw that the template was displaying the image title rather than the flag icon itself and tried to fix that, but I couldn't get the pipe to work properly. Please feel free to correct this template to however it is supposed to display. --Metropolitan90 06:14, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously it is supposed to display Federal Republic of Germany. -- Matthead discuß!     O       16:41, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect addition[edit]

Can an administrator please add: <noinclude>{{Redirect|Template:RFA|template about Requests for Adminship|Template:RfA}}</noinclude> on top of the template? Thanks Sander.v.Ginkel (talk) 09:11, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: @Sander.v.Ginkel: I've reverted your change to Template:RFA, as on Wikipedia those initials have long been used to refer to requests for adminship, and trying to change that now would likely be confusing for other editors. Also, we don't really do disambiguation in the template namespace, as it won't affect how most readers of Wikipedia can get around the site. There's no need for every country initial to point to its correct flag, as long as the flag is available through some commonly understood name. — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 09:32, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
