Updated finctionality[edit]

For the 2006 census we had two templates; {{Census 2006 AUS}}, which is widely used to provide citations, and {{Census 2006 AUS link}}, which was used to generate a bare url for use in lists, such as List of cities in Australia by population#50 largest Urban Centres by population. To avoid duplication ({{Census 2006 AUS link}} is only used in 7 articles), I've incorporated the functionality of what would have been {{Census 2011 AUS link}} into this template; adding |link=yes turns the template's output into a bare url. --AussieLegend (✉) 14:01, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

linkage order[edit]

Entries like from Trove nla gov au will generate a link that is the item first and the paper it came from secondary. hHe Census template give the ABS link first and the topic second. Is this normal or just the way it has been written ? Dave Rave (talk) 09:52, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
