Parappukkav Bhagavathy Temple is a Hindu temple located on the banks of Kechery River in Kechery,Thrissur. The famous annual festival of this temple Vela , Pooram is celebrated in the meenam.[1] [2][3] 18 Desams belonging to Thrissur, Kunnamkulam and Chavakkad taluks are worshiped as Bhagavathy.

Deities[edit]

The major deity in the temple is Goddess Bhagavathy.other deities are Durga,Brahmarakshas,Nagas, Dandan,Kiratha Murthy,Vishnumaya Swami,Muthappan and Thazhathekkavu Bhagavathy.

Architecture[edit]

The temple has a traditional Kerala style architecture with a nalambalam, namaskara mandapam, kodimaram and shrines of upadevatas.

To reach the temple[edit]

Traveled 300 meters towards west from Kechery Junction. If you go 200 meters along the road on the right side, you will see the ground and the temple on the left side.
