I believe the date for this record is a little too early. It wasn't until after WWI that the words "Victor" weren't written on the phonograph in the trade mark image. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.78.96.87 (talkcontribs)

Early 1917 was when the side was recorded, but the record stayed in print for some years. You may be right in that this may be a pressing from a couple years later than the original issue. Thanks for the interesting point. Is there a listing of Victor label variations and dates on line or if not in publication you can point out?
