I would like to comment on this map. Due to my recent studies of the Comnenian Era (from Alexius I to Andronicus "the terrible") The Empire never held control of the interior of Asia Minor during the reign of Manuel I Comnenus. This map is wrong And the borders should be moved a little west. Some records from the Second Crusade might have created confusion while making this map since the Crusaders thought Manuel controlled a vast portion of Asia Minor when in reality the borders were mostly property of nomadic turkish raiders and in reality it was an inhospitable no man's land.
