By comparing the pictures of different Seversky models in the book "The Complete Book of Fighters" (authors: William Green & Gordon Swanborough), the fighter in photo seems to be rather P-35 than P-35A. Reasons: rear fuselage is short as AP-1 (P-35) has, machine guns in the front fuselage are not covered and markings "PA 69" and three yellow stripes were used in P-35 in 27th Pursuit Sqn.
