Nomination for speedy deletion[edit]

Again? Seriously? Wizards as well as it's parent company Hasbro has already give permission to use limited images of magic cards for educational as well as promotional purposes. Card images keep being deleted and then some industrious wikipedian will re-contact wizards for permission and repost. Why? Because permission has been granted and continues to be granted but there isn't ever any more proof than an email from wizards brand management. As far as additional image uploads, wizards maintains all rights and will not concede a limited rights stand across the board, which means that the question "what is a limited use for educational and promotional purposes?" is entirely at their discretion. We've had discussions for years and years on Magic the Gathering talk page and it's pretty much general consensus that yes, most images are wide spread, common, and easy to find all over the place, which the internet is only a subsection of that availability. That yes, wizards commonly allows and encourages limited image use, around the world, which the internet is only a subsection of those permissions. And that any question of improper and inappropriate use is really a moot and trivial.

What is continually argued here on wikipedia is what's a fair use of wizards limited permission? 5-15 card images? 7-20? 1 card from each set?

I don't support the deletion of the magic card back, because we have permission and because it could be justifiably argued under fair use as well. The image is so widespread and synonymous with Magic the gathering that arguing for it's deletion is like arguing that we should delete the Apple logo from the Apple Inc. page. --Sparkygravity (talk) 02:44, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not the real card back, Deckmaster does not have TM on it on real cards[edit]

In this picture on Wikipedia, Deckmaster has a TM at the end, yet actual cards do not have that.--Dwedit (talk) 06:56, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Bad card image[edit]

I'm not sure why the card back was changed to the "official" twitter version. The card image is way oversaturated and not strictly representative of the actual card back. It looks more like an image you'd photoshop to put on a website. This needs to be restored to the previous version. Leitmotiv (talk) 04:47, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
