It seems to me that a better photo could be used, showing more of the UPPER AND LOWER assembly in relationship to the forward assist - and perhaps the forward assist in the rear-ward position with the carrier group open just a tad to show WHY it's there (E.G. WHY have the 'button' at all??) Maybe a cut-away to show how the forward assist helps 'push' the bolt forward or how DECREASING the number of lugs would help? A photo should do more than just show where it is on the rifle - after all, it's a signature of nearly every M-16 type body from the early days to the present, and I've even seen it where's there NO reason for it at all, eg a CAL 22 LR for example though I spoze that given enough rounds and enough monkey's you'd end up with your 1000 meter 1 cm group as well as a 22lr that jammed under life-threatening conditions - not to mention the entire works of Shakespeare written out on your 50 meter target paper too. . .
