This is one of the more user-unfriendly features I've seen recently -- how come clicking on the audio icon doesn't play the audio? Technical reasons?

- Ah, well. Too bad.
- Maybe it's something that should be explored, though. You could file a bug report. Certain links have little icons after them that do not follow the normal image rules, so it's not entirely inconceivable that we could do a similar thing for audio files:
