This is a very interesting chart. However while it tells us which countries have positive or negative current account balances, it doesn't provide much information on magnitude (i.e., we would expect USA to have a big balance because it is the world's biggest economy). Redoing the chart expressing current account balance as a fraction of GDP would be very interesting, and I'd love to see it. That will allow us to see how countries with small GDPs compare to each other.


Shouldn't the total of all the balances be closer to 0? Paullb (talk) 14:40, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image should be replaced as the colours are not easily distinguishable for mildly colourblind people.

Colour scheme[edit]
