DescriptionVirupaksha Temple and Bazar, Hampi, Karnataka.JPG
English: Virupaksha Temple is seen at the far (western) end of the street while the Mantapas which were historically used as shops are seen on both sides of the Bazaar street.
On the foreground we can see the mantapa's where vendors must have sold their wares. Closer to the Virupaksha temple at the other end of the street, there were lots of present day shops until 2011. However those shopkeepers were asked to vacate the mantapas, so as to let ASI preserve this bazar street.
