Description
English: The bust of Kaiser Wilhelm I is lifted from the bottom of the lake in Victoria Park, Kitchener on Aug. 23 1914. Berlin residents retrieving the bust of Kaiser Wilhelm from Victoria Park lake, August 1914. Vandals threw the bust into the lake following Britain and Canada's declaration of war against Germany. Earliest evidence of publication in Moyer, Bill (1979) Kitchener, Yesterday Revisited: An Illustrated History, Kitchener: Kitchener Chamber of Commerce, p. 55 ISBN: 0-89781-004-X. with no copyright renewal included. No evidence of a US publication.
