This part of thesubject will, of course, require long and numer-ous observations before the question can besettled definitely, but even the few cases of twoor more individuals in the same family, whichhave already been examined, show that thissurmise is most likely correct. It is fairly easyto compare the Auras of adults one with an-other when they are all of one sex. But diffi-culties commence when the comparison has tobe made between a man and a woman, sincethe masculine Aura is so very dissimilar fromthe feminine; and, for the same reason, com-parison between a womans Aura and a childsis difficult. Practically the only method is tocompare the breadth of the Aura of the trunk ofthe subjects, as they stand facing the observer.For this purpose some standard will be requi-site. One thing is patent—that is, the height ofa patient does not make very much differencein the breadth of the Aura, since a tall man orwoman does not seem to have his or her Aura THE HUMAN ATMOSPHERE
