English: Steamboat Mercurius in the harbor of Amsterdam c. 1830. The Mercurius, launched in 1824 was one of the first Dutch steamboats, and served on a line from Amsterdam to Zaandam.
Nederlands: Titel: Gezigt van de Nieuwe Stads Herberg aan t Y te Amsterdam

Beschrijving: Het IJ, later Open Havenfront met Nieuwe Stadsherberg, gezien in oostelijke richting naar Haarlemmersluis en ingang Singel. Hierop het vertrek der eerste stoomboot naar Zaandam (de Mercurius). Ets, handgekleurd.
