Description
English: A diagram of an experimental spark-gap radio transmitter. This elementary circuit is quite different from those of practical spark transmitters, which were used around the first decades of the 20th century. The battery would need to have a potential of at least a thousand volts, to cause a spark across the spark gap. And the circuit has no switch or key for creating repeated sparks. This circuit would create a single spark when the battery was attached, then nothing.
