Description

High octane precision carriage racing, turning tight corners at speed and passing through remarkably narrow gaps, with a five second penalty for every marker cone nudged. This picture does not show the rear passenger who has to hang out the sides on the bends to prevent the carriage turning over.

The Monmouth Show website says: full speed ahead as a pair of ponies pulls a 4 wheel scurry carriage in a race against the clock through a course of obstacles. The course comprises of 12 to 14 pairs of cones including a slalom, where the ponies weave right, left, right just like skiing. Sporting drivers compete against each other to get the fastest time possible and be crowned victorious.
