The disaster on the ice at Regent's Park; from The Illustrated London News, 26 January 1867. 500 skaters caught in a disaster on the lake at Regent's Park which left 200 struggling in the water and 41 dead. 2000 onlookers watched the rescue.

Scenes after the ice on Regent's Park lake, London broke on 15 January 1867 pitching hundreds of people into icy, deep water.
