Titleː A view of Prince Rupert's Head and Bay in the island of Dominique, from near the Tomb. approximately 1780.

Descriptionː Three men push a boat off the shore after unloading some barrels in the foreground, with palm trees beyond, sailing ships in the bay and Morne aux Diables and Morne Diablotins in the background. Pasted on mount with washlines and annotated with title on the verso.

The tomb referred to is that of Charles Cathcart, 8th Lord Cathcart (1686 – 20 December 1740) . Locally people say its the tomb of Prince Rupert, [See https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=i1v0_YOD14kC&lpg=PT103&ots=FFx9srtNL4&dq=Prince%20Rupert%20Bay%2C%20Dominica%20AND%20%22tomb%22&pg=PT103#v=onepage&q=Prince%20Rupert%20Bay,%20Dominica%20AND%20%22tomb%22&f=true but he died in Europe]. No remains werer found in the tomb when opened.
