Fair use in Students Harness Aid for the Relief of the Elderly[edit]

This is a photograph of students collecting for Students Harness Aid for the Relief of the Elderly, used to discuss the charitable organisation in its respective article. Although the photograph may be subject to copyright, its use in the article complies with Wikipedia non-free content policy and qualifies as fair use as follows:

• The photograph is used solely for purposes of illustration and critical commentary on a subject of public interest. It specifically illustrates the involvement of schools in relation to the organisation of the charity in a way that words could not convey.
• Because the photograph is taken from an old edition of a school newsletter which is made available free of charge, it is unlikely to have either a negative or positive effect on the copyright holder.
• As Wikipedia and the organisations involved with this photograph are all non-profit, it can be safely assumed that the photograph's use in the Wikipedia article will not imply either organisation's endorsement of the other.
• Care was taken to copy the photograph in a size and resolution sufficient to convey the image of the organisation, without being overly high resolution. The current image is of lower resolution than the original that was uploaded.
