Description
English: Postcard image of SS Stevens with 14-story Stevens Institute of Technology Student Center building in the background. The 473-foot, 14,893-ton ship served as the floating dormitory from 1968 to 1975 for about 150 students of the institute.
  • SS Stevens, formerly cruise liner SS Exochorda of the New "4 Aces" fleet of American Export Lines, is shown moored at the Eighth Street Pier on the Hoboken, NJ campus. The view is toward the west, from Manhattan, across the Hudson River.
  • This image has been scanned from the original postcard.
  • Approximately 15% of the original image area, the area beyond the ship, was cropped.
  • The grainy appearance of the image is evident in the original postcard.
