Description
English: A Post Medieval copper alloy button decorated with a crown over the number 2 SOMERSET REG(T).
Originally formed in 1797 as the West Somerset Supplementary Militia, the unit had become the 2nd Somerset Militia by 1800, a title the unit kept until becoming Light Infantry in 1876.
