Summary

Description
English: This brass casting represents our cultural heritage, 'skin tissue expansion' which enabled birth with no tearing, so no infection, no death. With no antibiotics, skin damage often progressed to sepsis and death of the mother. They proudly display this property of skin, so others may benefit. Birth was an appropriate topic of discussion, as this technique saved lives of both babies and mums.
