Summary

Description
English: Ormskirk station Ormskirk is a strange station. It has one long platform, with the rails along it divided by a buffer stop so that through working by train is not possible. From the southern half of the platform, electric trains, like the Class 507 unit shown here, depart for Liverpool, of which Ormskirk is rapidly becoming a better-class suburb. The Class 507 units were originally intended for the Southern Region of British Railways, but did not stay there long before they migrated to Merseyside.
