Fair Use Rationale[edit]

  • The manifesto, signed by all nine members of the nouveau realsits, was always intended as a visual interpretation of the aims of the group for press and publicity.
  • As a manifesto, it was intended as a public document to be discussed and considered by the widest possible readership.
  • To ignore the most important record of the aforementioned group's activities would be against the intentions of Restany in particular.
  • There is no publicly available alternative, and the article gains as an educative article dramatically through its use, in particular the manifesto's flamboyant visual tone, and its obvious debt to Yves Klein's IKB.
