Modern Art of Austria-Hungary in 1904, set of 2 cards, Sunset (W-47) & Red Moon at Night (W-48).1904 postcard art.Wittig collection.items 47 & 48.obverse.scan.jpg. Oil painted miniature, & pen & ink inscriptions; created on blank white cardstock paper rectangles. Artist-signed "Heinrich B____(?)" with inscription & date on each card: W-47="25.II.904" & W-48="26.II.04". Except for the (matching) Austro-Hungarian postage stamps & cancellation markings, the back of both cards is entirely handwritten, including the "postcard" formatting; contains the following address information: "Wolgeb. Frl. Mattschi Schmidt Wien 14./3. Sechshhauserstrasse No3" & on card W-47 "II./14.(?)" & on card W-48 "Th11", & later collector's/dealer's annotation in pencil "26-26" (indicating that the item is handmade, I believe); appears to be written by the same hand as the inscriptions on the front & presumably all are by the artist. Not yet transcribed or translated. Postally used in 1904; postage stamp top-right on the reverse of both postcards. Created in 1904. More information would be appreciated; feel free to transcribe/translate. Wittig collection, items 47 & 48; private collection, fam. Wittig et cie.

Created in 1904; therefore obviously pre-1923; uploaded here to avoid Commons' "dual jurisdiction" PD rule.
