Summary[edit]

Non-free media information and use rationale true for Tagged (website)
Description

Example of spam email sent by Tagged.com

Source

http://www.snopes.com/computer/internet/Tagged.asp

Article

Tagged (website)

Portion used

Screenshot from Snopes was cropped to show only the spam email; no trace of any other part of the Snopes website has been retained.

Low resolution?

Somewhat; resolution must be sufficient for reading of small gray text

Purpose of use

To illustrate the spam sent by Tagged.com, which was widely criticized in many reliable sources, as can be seen in this past version of the Wikipedia article on Tagged, immediately prior to the addition of this image.

Replaceable?

Use of the image from Snopes was necessary because Tagged.com no longer sends these emails. Various elements of the spam cannot adequately be conveyed by text alone, such as its pleading tone and the unusual use of the frowning face symbol.
