It is contended that the use of this DVD cover in Lupin the Third Part II qualifies as fair use for the following reasons:

1. This image can be used to identify the subject of the article
2. It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to market or sell the DVD in any way.
3. The image is of lower resolution than the original cover.
4. The image is being used in an informative/educational way and does not detract from sales of the series in any way.
5. As a copyrighted work, no free or public domain images exist

Fair Use in List of Lupin III Part II episodes[edit]

It is contended that the use of this DVD cover in List of Lupin III Part II episodes qualifies as fair use for the following reasons:

1. This image illustrates the cover of the DVD of the series of which the list is about
2. This image can be used to identify the series

This image is the cover of a videotape, DVD, Blu-ray, etc. and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the video or the studio which produced the video in question. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of video covers to illustrate the videotape or disc in question on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under the Copyright law of the United States.
