Description
Polski: Lampka Ner Tamid (hebr. wieczne światło) została odnaleziona, wraz z innymi przedmiotami, podczas prac archeologicznych, prowadzonych na terenie po Wielkiej Synagodze przy ulicy Berka Joselewicza w 2004 roku. Lampka jest najczęsciej zawieszana nad lub przez aron ha-kodesz (wcześniej w niszy na ścianie zachodniej synagogi) i jest zapalona niezależnie od tego, czy synagoga jest pusta, czy zamknięta. Tradycja ta ma przypominać o stale zapalonej menorze w starożytnej Świątyni Jerozolimskiej. (Tekst: Artur Szyndler, CC BY 4.0)
