Summary

Description
English: The ringtail is a sail used in light winds to increase the sail area. It is ringed in the diagram. It is set just abaft the mainsail. Its head is laced to a yard which is hoisted to the end of the main gaff. The foot is fastened to a ringtail boom, which is lashed to the after end of the main boom.
