Description
English: The earliest known mention of the name of Itytawy, the ancient Egyptian lost city founded by pharaoh Amenemhat I of the 12th Dynasty. It appears on the stele Cairo CG20516, dated to the regnal year 30 of this pharaoh. The name of the city is sourrounded by a fortified enclosure.
