Summary[edit]

Larry Stillman, Oct 2006. Taken over a doorway in Emek Refaim Street. Left date the year 1925. Right date of the Hijri year 1344. The inscription's transliteration, taken from the Quranic verse 40:16: "Al Mulku Lillahi al Wahidil Qahhar" which translates to "The kingdom belongs to the One, the Prevailing [Allah]." Notice the crescent in the Iron work. The house was built by the original Muslim residents of the neighborhood.
