Summary[edit]

Comic illustration of a French Army officer in society; pre-WWI postcard art. Pen & ink drawing; drawn on a post-card blank. Front is inscribed with the artist's initials in the lower right of the picture: "AD". Back with... ; not yet transcribed. Postally used in 1905(?). More information would be appreciated; feel free to transcribe/translate. Wittig collection, item 44; private collection, fam. Wittig et cie.

Created by 1905, therefore obviously pre-1923; uploaded here to avoid Commons' "dual jurisdiction" PD rule.
