Deutsch: Zum Gedenken an den deutschen Reformpädagogen, Erzähler und Schriftsteller Martin Luserke (1880–1968) hat Histour Dithmarschen in der Nähe seines Hauses am Jungfernstieg 37 in Meldorf, Dithmarschen, Holstein, im Jahr 2009 eine Infotafel aufgestellt. Sie informiert u. a. über das Wirken Luserkes für das Darstellende Spiel (Laienspiel), in seiner ausgereiften Phase als Meldorfer Spielweise bezeichnet. Die Jahresangabe 1924 zur Schulgründung auf Juist ist unrichtig: 1925 ist korrekt. Am 4. Oktober 1924 wurde die Stiftung Schule am Meer gegründet, die Schule am Meer hingegen am 1. Mai 1925. Die auf dieser Infotafel angegebene Begründung für die Schulschließung verwechselt Ursache und Wirkung: Die Schule am Meer, ein privates Internat, kam insbesondere durch den NS-Antisemitismus in wirtschaftliche Schieflage, als sie mehr als dreißig Prozent ihrer Schüler und deren zahlende Eltern sowie weitere Förderer verlor, die jüdischer Herkunft waren.
English: Information board as a reminiscence for the German taleteller, writer and progressive pedagogue Martin Luserke (1880–1968) which was erected in 2009 next to his former home in Meldorf in the district of Dithmarschen, Holstein, Germany. It replaced an older plaque from 1987 which was mounted directly at his home. |
