Effigies of Gorges family, in St Mary's Church, Tamerton Foliot, Devon. Possibly of William de Gorges(d. about 1346) & his wife Agnes, or of John Gorges of Warleigh House, fl. early 15th.c. The knight displays on his tabard the Gorges armorial of a whirlpool, approximated by 3 concentric annulets.
