Summary[edit]

This is a still from the Global Frequency pilot screener. The episode (which never aired) was released by its creators within days of the announcement that the show would not be picked up by Warner Brothers (the show's backer to that point), in a move which was widely reported to have been an attempt to drum up grassroots support for the series. According to the author of the graphic novel on which the show was based, Warren Ellis, the move backfired and Warner Brothers refused to consider a DVD release due to the show's popularity on services such as BitTorrent.

This image is copyright 2005 by Warner Brothers. It is a still from the pilot episode, used for two purposes on the same article (Global Frequency):

  1. To illustrate the pilot episode itself in the section of the article about the TV show.
  2. To illustrate the widely reported event (release of the show to peer-to-peer networks) which has had far-reaching implications for the creation of new shows and the marketing of shows for syndication; as well as on peer-to-peer networks themselves.

There are no other images from this show made available by the creators as far as I can tell, and as the show has been canceled, there is no other way to acquire such images. A low resolution capture is used here in accordance with the fair use guidelines of Wikipedia.
