| Notes | In der Zeitschrift Die Kunst für alle (Band 26 1910-1911, Seite 118) wurde Gallhofs Ausstellung in Brakls Moderner Kunsthandlung wie folgt besprochen: „W. Gallhof ist der andere Weimarer; bei Brakl zeigt er uns in einer ersten Kollektivausstellung sein Werk, das turbulent genug ist, aber in einer energischen, kaum bezähmbaren malerischen Kraft, die es kündet, ein ähnlich starkes Temperament vermuten läßt, wie es in Corinth und Slevogt steckt. Gallhofs Thema ist das Weib, nicht das minniglich-sittige, nicht die „teutsche frowe“, sondern die Rassige, Heiße, die Bestie.“ | |||||||||||||||||
