Summary

Description
English: In 1846, the Swindon Works of the GWR erected their very first loco - and significantly, named it "Premier".
They bought the boiler in, probably from Stephenson's, and it was an already almost obsolete haycock design, but nevertheless, this engine was to be the precursor to over 160 Broad Gauge 0-6-0 tender engines.
The picture is from Geoff Sheppard's excellent "Broad Gauge Locomotives" book.
Date Possibly 1860s
