Summary

Description Fishing lake at Bidston Moss. Originally, this was the Overflow adjacent to Bidston Dock, which served Shotton steelworks. Then the area behind the photo was used as the municipal waste dump. When it came to the end of its working life, the area was landscaped and is now open to the public. It did have an unusual 'star-gazer' sculpture made of turf at the top, but that's been wiped out. The lake is quite picturesque on the left hand side of the photo especially with the way the boardwalks go out into the water. The main entrance is a footpath accessible within the large recycling facility. It is on the North side, and you have to go through a large metal security gate.
