Summary

Description
English: On the left shows the difference in size of the kidneys resulting from Kidney Ischemia. Kidney Ischemia may result in a shrinkage of the kidney to about 2cm or more. On the top right shows the disruption of the mitochondria due to dysfunctions, This leads to release of proapoptotic proteins such as cytochrome c and results in cell death. On the lower right shows inflammation of the glomeruli of the kidneys. This schematic diagram was drawn using BioRender.com
