This image is of Andrew Hunter stealing the Bay Doe from David Fanning while escaping Fanning and his men who were tying a noose to hang Hunter for being a good American rebel. This is NOT an image of David Fanning escaping on the Bay Doe. The Bay Doe had already been taken from him by Hunter before Fanning fled NC.
