Object history
Deutsch: Das Andreaskreuz ist das Symbol des Kirchenpatrons St. Andreas und weist auf die Verbindung zur Bacharacher Kirche, ehemals zugehörig zum Kölner St. Andreas-Stift, hin. Die Farben Silber und Blau rühren von der über 500-jährigen Zugehörigkeit zur Kurpfalz her. Das aktuelle Wappen der Gemeinde wurde am 18. August 1937 durch den Oberpräsidenten der Provinz Hessen-Nassau verliehen.
