Object history
Deutsch: Das Motiv des Wappens basiert auf dem Siegel des Landgerichts der Herrschaft Kempenich vom Jahre 1596 (siehe LHAKo Best. 1C Nr. 11475). Der Bauer mit dem Pflug und Sonne diente darüber hinaus noch bis ca. 1960 als Siegel des Kempenicher Amtsbürgermeisters. Die Hauptfarben des Wappens, Gold und Rot, nehmen Bezug auf das Wappen der Herren von Kempenich, die in Gold zwei rote Balken führten (s. LHAKo Sammlung Eltester).
