Description
Deutsch: Das Cruewell-Haus in Herford, Kreis Herford, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Es wurde 1538 von dem Kaufmann Heinrich Cruewell erbaut. Da Cruewell Buergermeister der Herforder Neustadt war, wird das Haus auch Buergermeisterhaus genannt. Der spätgotische Stufengiebel gilt als einer der schoensten in Westfalen. 1966 wurde er mit Landesmitteln renoviert.
English: The Cruewell-House in town of Herford, District of Herford, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was built in 1538 by the Trader Heinrich Cruewell. As Cruewell was the mayor of Herford the builing is called the mayors house (Buergermeisterhaus) as well. The gable of the late gothic period is rated as one of the most beautiful gables in Westfalia. The gable was renovated in 1966.
