"Reneszánsz pajzsban, kék udvarában, zöld mezőn jobbra futó természetes színű farkas. A sisakdísz: kiemelkedő vörös ruhás puskát tartó vitéz. Takarók: kék-arany és vörös-ezüst" "Az alsóeőri Farkas családnak az egyik ága a Vas vármegyei Kancsócon (Felsőszentbenedek) volt birtokos a 17- században. 1327. július 1-jén magyar nemességet I. Károly magyar királytól, majd 1582. február 18-án Rudolf magyar királytól földbirtokadományt Alsó- és Felsőeőrre szerzett meg. A Kancsócon (Felsőszentbenedek) lakó ága az alsóeőri Farkas családnak 1690. április 2-án családi címeres-levelet szerzett I. Lipót magyar királytól. Farkas János fiától, alsóeőri Farkas Pétertől származik a későbbi boldogfai Farkas család, amely az "alsóeőri" nemesi előnevet teljesen hanyagolva, királyi földbirtokadomány után (1716. március 22.) a "boldogfai" nemesi előnevet viselte, holott a család az adományok révén jogosult volt az "eőri és boldogfai" előnevek használatára is. A boldogfai Farkas család Vas vármegyéből Zala vármegyébe a 17. század második felében került át; boldogfai Farkas Péter, István és János, Farkas Mihály fiai, alsóeőri Farkas Péter unokái szerezték meg a boldogfai birtokadományt 1716-ban III. Károly magyar királytól." |

Official coat of arms and flags, being defined in such a regulation, are thus in the public domain in Hungary, and also in the US, according to § 313.6(C)(2) Compendium of U.S. Copyright Office Practices, 3rd ed. 2014 (Compendium (Third)): "As a matter of longstanding public policy, the U.S. Copyright Office will not register a government edict that has been issued by any state, local, or territorial government, including legislative enactments, judicial decisions, administrative rulings, public ordinances, or similar types of official legal materials. Likewise, the Office will not register a government edict issued by any foreign government or any translation prepared by a government employee acting within the course of his or her official duties."
