Summary

Description

Ball-and-stick model of a ceftriaxone molecule, C18H18N8O7S3. Hydrogen atoms positions have been estimated using molecular mechanics. The model is based on PDB entry 6XQV, the crystal structure of the catalytic domain of PBP2 S310A from Neisseria gonorrhoeae in a pre-acylation complex with ceftriaxone. The structure was reported in J. Biol. Chem. (2021) 297, 101188.

Colour code:

Carbon, C: grey
Hydrogen, H: white
Nitrogen, N: blue
Oxygen, O: red
Sulfur, S: yellow
Model manipulated in Avogadro 1.2 and image generated in CCDC Mercury 3.8.
