Description
Dansk: Brahetrolleborg, Hovedsædet i Baroniet Brahetrolleborg, hed oprindelig Holmekloster og var anlagt 1170 af Cisterciensere. Af den gamle Klosterbygning er kun den vestlige Fløj tilbage, den østlige opførtes af Kai Rantzau 1620. Hele Hovedbygningen blev restaureret og udvidet ca. 1870. Efter Reformationen var klosteret inddraget under Kronen, indtil Frederik II 1568 solgte Gaarden til Henrik Rantzau, der kaldte den Rantzauholm. Af senere Ejere kan nævnes den bekendte Kai Lykke og Fru Birgitte Trolle, Enke efter Mandrup Brahe, som 1672 fik oprettet Baroniet Brahetrolleborg.
Siden 1722 tilhærer Godset Slægten Reventlow.
