Portion used

Entire, to ensure identification of the individual.

Low resolution?

Very small; useless except for identification.

Purpose of use

Low-res screenshot image used as only picture available of this subject.

Replaceable?

No; individual has been dead for nearly 67 years, so no realistic chance of a free photograph becoming available, and words cannot convey a photographic image. While I know that the Public domain laws are the for Cuba are 50 years plus life, Broderick lived in the US which has 70 years plus life (which expires in 2013 if my calculation is correct - please see List of countries' copyright length). Otherwise, I would have chosen the 1923 PD license as this photo was taken in Cuba around the time Broderick was the auxiliary bishop there if the Cuba PD length is the correct application license. I doubt the US length would apply as this photo was taken in Cuba around 1903.

Other information
