English: Battle of Dai Do, morning of April 30, 1968. In the early morning, companies H and F of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine assault the villages around Dai Do. Company H assaults the village of Dong Huan while Company F heads for Dai Do. At 13.50, Company is met by enemy fire from Dai Do and forced to retreat to Dong Huan four hours later. (This description is based on a description of the battle of Dai Do by Max Hastings in Vietnam: An Epic Tragedy, 1945-1975, New York: Harper, 2018, pp. 488-509.)
